20 Feet From Stardom
We were asked to work on publicity campaign for the DVD/BD release of Academy Award winning documentary 20 Feet From Stardom.
The nature of the film meant it opened up the possibility of generating coverage to more niche markets as well as mainstream. We secured coverage with Blues & Soul magazine, Ronnie Scotts, Echoes Magazine, Beat Magazine and Smooth Radio to create buzz amongst core music fans. Reviews were secured with the likes of Empire, Total Film, Independent/i, Gay Times and the Evening Standard. Interviews with Darlene Love and Judith Hill were arranged across with Radio Times, Flickering Myth, Live for Films, Daily Record, the PA (for syndication) and So So Gay as well as a live interview via Trevor Nelson’s BBC Radio 1xtra show with Darlene on the Friday before release.
We also worked with Spotify to set up a Judith Hill playlist which was shared via their social channels AND ran the Twitter and Facebook channels during the promotional period.
